RETURN & REFUND POLICY
At Cedar & Song Studio, every item is thoughtfully handcrafted or carefully curated with an appreciation for craftsmanship, nature, and timeless design.
Because many of our products are handmade, vintage, reclaimed, repurposed, or one of a kind, we encourage you to review this policy before making your purchase.
Returns — United States
For purchases made in the United States, we accept returns of eligible items within 14 days of delivery.
To request a return:

Wait for return instructions before sending the item back.
Eligible returned items should be unused and in the same condition in which they were received, with original packaging whenever reasonably possible.
A return authorization is required before sending an item back.

Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally final sale and are not eligible for voluntary returns under our standard U.S. return policy:

Custom or personalized orders

Made-to-order items produced specifically to a customer's specifications

Bird seed, food products, plants, and other perishable items

Gift cards

Digital products

Items clearly identified as Final Sale or Clearance at the time of purchase
Vintage, reclaimed, repurposed, and one-of-a-kind items are not automatically excluded from returns solely because of their nature. Eligible returns for these items are subject to the terms above.
Product descriptions and photographs will identify known characteristics, imperfections, wear, age-related marks, and other conditions that are part of a vintage or handcrafted item's character.
Natural variations in wood grain, knots, color, finish, texture, dimensions, and other materials are not considered defects when they are consistent with the product description.
Nothing in this section limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your order when it arrives.
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can investigate and resolve the issue.
For the fastest assistance, please contact us within 5 days of delivery and provide:

Photos of the packaging, if the item was damaged during shipping
We may request additional information or photographs to help us work with the shipping carrier or determine the appropriate resolution.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a replacement, repair, store credit, refund, or another appropriate remedy.
If an item is defective, damaged, or materially different from its description, nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
Exchanges
Because many Cedar & Song Studio products are handcrafted, vintage, or one of a kind, direct exchanges are generally not available.
If you would like a different item, the simplest option is generally to return an eligible item and place a new order.
Return Shipping
For voluntary returns under our standard U.S. return policy, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
We will cover reasonable return shipping costs when:

The item arrived damaged;

We shipped the incorrect item; or
-
The return is otherwise our responsibility under applicable law.
For your protection, we recommend using a trackable shipping service and packaging the return securely.
Cedar & Song Studio is not responsible for items lost or damaged while being returned by the customer, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable for voluntary U.S. returns.
Refunds — United States
Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved.
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.
For U.S. returns, please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to be processed after the return has been approved. Your financial institution may require additional time to post the refund.
If a refund is required under applicable consumer protection law, the applicable legal timeframe will apply.
European Union Customers — Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer located in the European Union and purchase goods from Cedar & Song Studio through an online or other distance-sale transaction to which EU consumer law applies, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal without giving a reason.
14-Day Withdrawal Period
For goods, the 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day you, or a person you designate other than the carrier, physically receives the goods.
If an order contains multiple items that are delivered separately, the 14-day withdrawal period begins when you receive the last item in the order.
If the final day of the 14-day withdrawal period falls on a weekend or public holiday, the deadline is extended to the next working day, as provided by applicable EU law.
You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your right of withdrawal.

Please provide your order number and clearly state that you wish to withdraw from the purchase. No particular wording or reason is required.
Customers Who Checked Out Using Only a Phone Number
If you completed checkout using only a phone number and therefore cannot access the customer account link above, please use the link provided in your SMS order confirmation to access the applicable order and initiate your return or withdrawal request.

Returning Goods After Exercising the Right of Withdrawal
After notifying us that you are exercising your right of withdrawal, you must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day you notified us of your withdrawal.
The return deadline is met if you send the goods back before the 14-day period expires.
Unless we have agreed to pay the return costs, or applicable law requires otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service and packaging the goods securely.
EU Refunds
When you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund the payments we received from you, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered by Cedar & Song Studio.
We are not required to refund any additional amount you paid because you selected a more expensive delivery option, such as express or expedited shipping.
We will issue the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to withdraw.
However, where permitted by applicable law, we may withhold the refund until:

We have received the returned goods; or
-
You provide evidence that you have sent the goods back,
whichever occurs first.
Refunds will generally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed and permitted by law.
Condition of Returned Goods
You may handle and inspect goods only to the extent reasonably necessary to determine their nature, characteristics, and functioning, in a manner similar to what would normally be permitted in a physical shop.
If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and their value has diminished as a result, you may be responsible for that diminished value to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Vintage, reclaimed, repurposed, handmade, and one-of-a-kind items are not excluded from the EU right of withdrawal merely because of their nature.
Exceptions to the EU Right of Withdrawal
The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply in certain circumstances established by applicable law. Depending on the product and transaction, these may include:

Goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalized;

Goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, including certain perishable food products;
-
Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
-
Certain sealed audio, video, or computer software products once unsealed;
-
Certain digital content supplied electronically where performance has begun with the customer's prior express consent and acknowledgment that the right of withdrawal will be lost;
-
Other statutory exceptions that may apply to a particular transaction.
Vintage, second-hand, reclaimed, repurposed, and one-of-a-kind goods are not excluded from the EU right of withdrawal merely because they are vintage, second-hand, reclaimed, repurposed, or one of a kind.
Where EU consumer law applies, all applicable withdrawal rights and statutory consumer protections will be honored.
Faulty, Damaged, or Misdescribed Goods
Nothing in this policy limits applicable statutory rights relating to goods that are faulty, defective, damaged, or not as described.
Where applicable EU consumer law applies, consumers may have additional statutory remedies for goods that do not conform to the contract, including repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund rights.
These statutory rights are separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal and may apply even after the withdrawal period has ended.
